Check Your EPF Balance | Employee Provident Fund

EPF – Employee Provident Fund is created for the purpose of financial security to the elder people. It helps employee to save some of the amount from their salaries every month which is useful at the time of retirement.
Employee Provident Fund Scheme was come out in the year 1952, in India. Now it is called as Employees’ Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Act, 1952.
The management of the Act is carried out by the Central Board of Trustees which involves representatives of three parties the government, employees and employers.
EPF is a quantity of the fund built through monthly, regular, contribution made by employee and their employer, this contributed amount is based on fixed rate and they earn interest on their EPF balance.
Both, the interest earned and the total amount withdraw at maturity are tax free and this makes one of the most popular long term retirement savings between the working population in India.
Presently there are more than 5 crores members’ that the EPFO services. On the Act, the EPFO operates 3 schemes such as:
      1.    Employee Provident fund Scheme, 1952
      2.    Employee Pension Scheme, 1995 (replace with Employee Family Pension Scheme 1971)
      3.    Employee Deposited Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976
Check your EPF Balance:
This facility of checking Online Status of EPF Balance is for EPF members in order to check their balance in their account up to date.
The account contains updates of latest approved transactions of advances, settlements, transfer – in and out in any office across the India.
Before checking your balance in account the only pre – requirement is you need to get ready with your PF account Number.

Here is the step by step process to check your EPF balance. Let’s have glance:

      1.    Go to the official site and click on the know your EPF Balance
2.    You will get Member Balance Information sheet, where you need Select PF Office state wise, like Delhi, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh which state you belong to
3.    If you selected the State as Telangana, you will see EPFO offices belong to Telangana.

4.    Select your appropriate office where your account is maintained
5.    Now, after selecting the office, the Region code and office code will appear automatically in concert boxes

      6.    Now, You need to enter Establish Code (which will be in 7 digits max) in the 3rd box
      7.    If in case you have any extension in your Establishment code / sub code enter it in 4th box, it can be digits or letters.
      8.    If you don’t have any extension in Establishment code, leave then it blank
      9.    Now, in the 5th box enter your Account number which can be maximum 7 digits.
      10. Enter your name and Mobile Number. The mobile number will be verified along with the PF Account Number.
      11. Check the ‘I Agree ‘services and click on the submit
      12. After furnishing all the details successfully an SMS will be sent to your given mobile number.
